Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
- Maintains campus grounds by keeping grass cut, edged and fertilized.
- Installs new lawns, installs and maintains flowerbeds, prunes trees, removes scrub brush as needed.
- Keeps campus free of garbage.
- Operates and maintains all equipment utilizing the preventive maintenance system which includes all grass cutting equipment, such as edgers, rototillers, riding tractors, John Deere tractor, and forklift ensures gas and oils are on-hand.
- Stores and retrieves equipment and supplies for tradesman, keeps the warehouse neat and orderly and loading bay for the shop clean and free of debris and supplies.
- Maintains all campus signage.
- Expedites all recyclables from the campus.
- Hauls overburden and excess debris to the city landfill.
- Other duties as assigned
- This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- 6 months’ related experience
- Previous experience in maintenance in a healthcare setting preferred
- Lawn maintenance and installation
- Mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
- Snow plowing techniques and equipment
- Organization and time management
- Follow written and verbal orders with minimal supervision
- SEARHC provided computer applications
