Summary
Job SummaryAssists in the preparation and serving of food for distribution to patients, cafeteria, and catering services. Job Responsibilities
- Maintains area, equipment, and supplies in safe and orderly manner.
- Cleans and inspects dietary equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Apportions and serves food to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Assists cook and other dietary staff as needed.
- Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food, as well as the sanitation and maintenance of work area.
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred
- No experience required
- Food Safety Training required within 90 days of employment in this position
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
