The Position Family Readiness Supervisors/Specialists, within the Office of the Military, Nevada Army National Guard, serve as advisors and provide support for the Family Readiness Program in order to assist participants in obtaining the skills and resources necessary to become resilient, self-sufficient and self-reliant members of the State of Nevadas military community assist in developing, planning, implementing and administering the program ensure quality of life and well-being of members of the National Guard and their families for issues such as benefits and entitlements. Family Readiness Specialists, within the Office of the Military, Nevada Army National Guard, the purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Military &amp Family Readiness Program (MFRP) services for the Nevada Army National Guard within the State Family Program. Serve as fully independent advisor within geographical area of responsibility in accomplishing all objectives of the MFRP for the Army National Guard to maximize retention and readiness. Manages and operates family assistance center and provide assistance to commands within geographical area of responsibility in support of the MFRP. Provide training and technical support to Commanders and Command Family Readiness Representatives to support their Unit Family Readiness program and Soldier &amp Family Readiness Groups (SFRGs). Submit information to support development and budget forecasting to support the Soldier and Family Readiness Support Program to higher headquarters. Conducts staff assistance visits to units in the geographical area of responsibility to accomplish the objectives of the program. Conduct briefings at the local, unit and state levels to provide necessary information to leadership, commanders, SFRGs and community partners and stimulate interest and support to build program and community capacity. Develop and maintain a directory of resources, agencies and organizations that are available to assist Service-members, Families, survivors, and veterans. Shall coordinate assistance from military, government, and civilian organizations as needed to assist Service Members, Family Members, Retirees, and Civilian Government Employees needing military quality of life support and ensure accurate and timely input into the NGB-approved system of record for all applicable Service Members and Family case information. The selectee will be expected to work during drill weekends. Schedules will be shifted to accommodate. To Qualify: In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, social work, psychology or related field and one year of experience in a military family support and/or well-being program which included interpreting and applying laws and regulations preparing presentations for training purposes and interpreting and maintaining documents relating to program services OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience as described above OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

A valid drivers license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required upon appointment and as a condition of continuing appointment.
Special Requirements
Must be able to pass State/Federal/Department of Defense background investigation.
Must be a United States Citizen.
Must be able to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
Statewide travel is required.
