Available Internally &amp Externally 4/24/24. Monthly Salary Range for external hires not affiliated with CTA is $5,526 – $6,058.

General Description
This position provides a variety of simple to moderately difficult clerical tasks in support of the Region 2 and RRC Office. Tasks are performed within established procedures and under moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent may perform any combination of the tasks listed below:

  • Operates duplicating and scanning machines.
  • Performs routine maintenance on duplicating machines.
  • Initiates service calls.
  • Performs pickup/delivery of duplicated materials.
  • Performs other delivery services as needed.
  • Performs relief outgoing mail and shipping functions.
  • Maintains daily and monthly reports as related to assignments.
  • Performs clerical assistance at CTA workshops and conferences.
  • Serves as switchboard operator.
  • Provides backup for scheduling and setting up conference rooms.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.

Functions Unique to This Position

  • Assists with training of relief switchboard operators.
  • Maintains postage meter and handles electronic refilling of meter.
  • Assists Regional Supervisor with coding/calculating of regional invoices, staff expense forms and database entries.
  • Creates, maintains and produces the Region 2 Directory.
  • Coordinates external/internal billing for supplies, copying and postage.
  • Coordinates ordering of all office supplies.

Qualifications – Minimum Required

  • High School diploma/GED &amp 1 year relevant experience.
  • Valid California Driver License.
  • Experience with duplicating and scanning machinery.
  • Ability to carry and transport loads of materials.
  • Ability to learn and use mailing equipment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff members.
  • Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude and interest.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology and the ability to learn and use the Associations software programs.
  • Ability to learn and operate telephone console, answering units and data entry programs.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • This position is in a bargaining unit represented by CAS. Salaries are established by a collective bargaining agreement. Step placement is also determined by the CTA/CAS Agreement.
