Are you looking to start your career in CAD? This role is a great place to start! Our CAD department has an immediate opening to join our team as an entry-level CAD Technician. Here at Keller Associates all aspects of the design are done in house! An entry-level CAD Technician is needed to team up with other technicians and engineers to prepare construction plans that include routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Learn company CAD standards (understanding layer systems and annotations standards)
  • Learn and understand software to perform tasks efficiently
  • Create details and plan sheets for structures, site design, utilities, etc.
  • Make changes to drawings or designs based on strict writeups
  • Occasional site visits of construction projects
  • Willing to work on a variety of projects, software, and disciplines
  • Work under the direction of a design technician
  • Work as part of a team to create design plans for construction projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Drafting/CAD Technology or related field
  • 0-4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in AuotCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or Microstation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Motivated to learn new skills
  • Capable of working as part of a team or independently
  • The ability to meet deadlines
