Position Summary

The Associate Specialist, People Relations is responsible for the administrative functions as required of the People Relations team. The position requires frequent communication with employees across the organization, along with handling of confidential employee files, performing HR related duties, working closely with People Relations Team and all areas within HR and other business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the People Relations team members as appropriate in the conduct of departmental activities, to include all facets of on-boarding of new employees
  • Create and maintain systems for accurate tracking and filing of ER-related processes, such as employee separations, pass travel and company investigations, performance management, disciplinary matters, etc.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Handles employment-related inquiries and provide first level response to employees, supervisors, and vendors (via email, phone, in-person), and refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate teams
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Manage and update PRM SharePoint site
  • Supports retiree inquiries by phone, walk-ins and email
  • Assists with employee off-boarding
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 3 years of administrative experience with an understanding of HR processes
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to deliver a positive customer service experience in all interactions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Occasional travel as required

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidates experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $56,000 – $73,000.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or commensurate work experience
  • Basic knowledge of labor relations
  • Airline or travel industry experience
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws
