Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Area Operations Manager for our HVAC market. This position will be based out of our 1272 Charlotte, NC location.

This position will provide daily purpose, focus and direction for their area operations team. The role will partner with the Area Leadership Team, Branch Managers, Sales Center Leaders and Warehouse Management teams to ensure the accurate execution of business processes to deliver goods and services to their area as efficiently as possible, to increase profits while ensuring safety and world-class customer service every time.

Position Details

  • Reports to the Director of Branch Operations
  • Area Details: 68 branches, 1100+ associates and no direct oversight of associates

Responsibilities

  • Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction
  • Leads the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements based on experience and findings
  • Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunities
  • Maintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and make sure all policies, rules, regulations and procedures set by the organization
  • Lead associates, implement processes, and policies of the organization in order to profitably maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and provide opportunities for growth
  • Supervise the facilities to provide a safe and well-maintained work environment
  • Identify new opportunities for cost savings
  • Facilitate and develop SOPs for the organization
  • Supports the Key Leadership Team by working in the same facility/vicinity to foster in person communication

Qualifications

  • 10 years proven experience in a related field is preferred
  • Applies in-depth sophisticated knowledge and skills of a specific/niche technical area with understanding of external environment factors that may affect own specialist area
  • Provides expert advice, mentors and counsels
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft O365 applications
  • Inventory and logistics software system experience is preferred

Pay Range:

$7,425.00 – $16,133.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
