Job Description : Responsibilities: Willow Springs Center has an opening for a Per Diem Admissions Coordinator.

The admissions coordinator is to liaise between the facility, referral sources and payors to successfully initiate and complete the admissions process. Incumbents are required to consider eligibility criteria, obtain clinical information regarding the patient, work with payors to understand insurance resources and work with referral sources to ensure logistical needs are fulfilled.


Job Duties

  • Creates a welcoming environment for the patient and family.
  • Takes initial inquiries from families and referral source
  • Collaborates successfully with referral resources, doctors, social services agencies and other treatment centers.
  • Uses excellent communication skills and practices active listening.
  • Contact insurance companies to initiate pre-authorization process.
  • Review clinical information and presents to the Admissions Director and Medical Director as needed.
  • Ensures photographs are taken when available.
  • Completes the interview process ensuring information is complete and accurate.
  • Completes all required documentation.
  • Answers questions accurately or refers questions to others who can assist.
  • Ensures all consent forms are signed when available.
  • Creates thorough documentation regarding the interchange with the patient.
  • Contacts families for additional information and follow-up on admission process
  • Gives tours for prospective clients.
  • Provides clear concise information regarding programs and services.
  • Prepares Admission Packets
  • Provides timely accurate data

Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree, with coursework in human services, social services, psychology or health care administration preferred . Experience : 3 or more years of experience working in mental health care environment. Prior mental health admissions experience preferred.
