ROLE SUMMARY:

Use leadership to manage, lead, and motivate Yeast Culture department personnel while leveraging VPO tools to maintain and improve the Yeast Culture Plant operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Yeast Culture Production BPM
    • Develop and lead the Yeast Culture Plant team
      • Develop, monitor, and maintain control points to ensure excellent product quality
      • Coach workforce through problem solving and monitoring of operating processes and equipment
      • Utilize VPO tools to achieve critical metric targets and close gaps in performance
      • Lead process improvement and initiate change
    • Act as the SPOC for the NAZ Global Yeast Dispatch Center
      • Collaborate and train with the Global Y&F team to ship Budweiser yeast slants globally
      • Execute yeast inoculations in laboratory for weekly propagations
      • Plan, direct, and schedule all yeast culture shipments to meet production demands for all yeast strains used in NAZ
        • Collaborate with BCBU, Global Yeast and Fermentation team, Labatt, and US breweries
      • Coordinate with logistics to receive and ship multiple yeast strains domestically and internationally
    • Sustain and Improve CCYP process quality and efficiency through use of problem solving and project management tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Science or Engineering, Science preferred
  • Familiarity with brewing policies/procedures
  • Previously microbiology/lab experience preferred
  • Practical Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Strong ability to multitask in high pressure environments
  • Solid communication/interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Problem solving skills, results orientated, and strong customer focus
  • Strong troubleshooting and data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to travel to Leuven and train with Global Yeast and Fermentation team
