WILDLIFE RECOVERY SEASONAL ASSISTANT Job in State of Rhode Island

The State is accepting online applications for available Wildlife Recovery Seasonal Assistant positions.
This position works within the DEM Division of Law Enforcement and is responsible for assisting and supporting the recovery, disposal, and care of sick, injured, and/or dead wildlife, especially deer killed by auto strikes. Employee must follow proper health and safety protocol at all times. The scheduled work week consist of five days and workon weekends and holidays is required.
Applicant must possess a valid drivers license and be physically qualified to perform assigned duties as evidenced by a physicians certificate. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
The State annually employs qualified responsible individuals in a variety of positions within the States Parks, Beaches, Research Programs, and Administrative Offices during a specific limited period. Applicants will be considered for open seasonal positions based on their qualifications, availability and willingness to travel to the assigned location(s).
Many of the classifications have a three-step pay-grade. An employee in any of these classifications is paid at the first step during his or her first season. An employee returning to the same three-step classification for a second season is paid at the second step during that season. An employee returning to the same three-step classification for a third or subsequent season is paid at the third step during that season.
