Warehouse Associate
Expired Job Description :Job Summary
The position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, pick/pack operations, preparing and shipping of product for customer delivery, while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Functions
- Prepares orders by packing product for shipping.
- Picks product using motorized cherry picker from inventory based off customer order.
- Operates and maintains various warehouse equipment, including but not limited to manual and power pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
- Unloads and loads trucks. Examines and checks boxes for damaged products while recording the proper documentation with carrier.
- Sorts and places received product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a clean work environment as well as overall personal cleanliness.
- Conducts Inventory count
Education
- High School or GED in General Studies – Required
Work Experience
- 1 year or more Warehouse/Distribution experience – Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Basic math and ability to read and write in English – Intermediate
- General computer knowledge – Beginner
