Quintessentially Travel is a global lifestyle travel management company. We are looking for a knowledgeable travel sales consultant to work within the team at Quintessentially Travel in the USA – working remotely, based in LA.

The ideal candidate is one who is looking for a challenge, is very hands on, target driven and use of their sales skills and product knowledge. They will maximize customer inquiries through using direct contracts/working with preferred partners to provide fantastic service to clients to turn inquiries into profitable sales consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

The candidate will need to be flexible to business needs including attending supplier and consumer facing events.

The successful candidate will be paid an industry leading uncapped commission structure once you have hit the threshold equal to annual salary whereby after commissions would be paid.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • At least 3 years’ background of working in a travel-sales environment
  • Understanding of working in a luxury travel environment dealing with VIP/high net worth individuals and their demands
  • Target driven and sales focused with proven successful sales track record
  • Works well under pressure, rises to any challenge, and meets objectives
  • Capable of working within a team structure or autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-earned and proven reputation for genuinely outstanding excellent customer service
  • Creative flair for designing above & beyond luxury travel experiences with the ability to execute concepts through to completion
  • Knowledge and travel awareness of the main luxury hotel groups
  • Knowledge and travel understanding of at least 3 of the following regions; Europe And Scandinavia/ Australasia/ Americas/ Middle East/ India And Indian Ocean/ Far East
  • Capable of driving new business and sales
  • Regularly updating your own knowledge through reading, the study of specialist consumer and industry publications, industry networking, supplier training events including educational trips and your own travel

KEY TASKS

  • Be an effective champion of driving sales within QT
  • Take responsibility for client contact on a booking from start to finish, maintaining regular contact with client throughout duration of trip to ensure total satisfaction and repeat business
  • Resolve any client complaints quickly and efficiently
  • Selling holidays to both Quintessentially Members and Non-Member clients
  • Liaise with the Lifestyle Managers of Quintessentially
  • Respond to both telephone and email inquiries in a timely fashion within the guidelines as set by their manager
  • Use of effective sales/questioning techniques to close the sale, reaching and exceeding sales targets
  • Prepare quotes using margins specified by manager
  • Study and know all product featured on the website and regularly keep abreast of luxury travel trends

GENERAL

  • Make sure all cost sheets are up to date, so in the event of absence your colleagues are able to pick this up on your behalf
  • Proficient IT skills, confident with Microsoft office programs, especially Word and Excel
  • Make sure emails are managed and all responses replied to in a timely fashion
  • Managing requests in line with agreed deadlines, either with members or Lifestyle Managers
  • Comprehensively capture all client information as required by the system
  • Take responsibility for problem solving to maintain client service levels
  • Ensuring members are made aware before booking of all relevant terms and conditions
  • Attend team meetings/1 to 1s with manager to remain up to date with company and department news and your own development
  • Share own product knowledge through meetings and reports following familiarization trips
  • As one of the top professionals in the QT team, you will be expected to attend corporate, member or internal meetings to promote the travel service to existing and prospective members, clients and colleagues
  • Represent the company at client events and trade exhibitions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
