Testing Center Coordinator

Position Purpose
The Testing Center Coordinator for Student Accessibility Services (SAS) supports students with disabilities who are approved for testing accommodations and their course faculty by ensuring seamless delivery of testing accommodations. To ensure this high level of service, the Coordinator manages day-to-day operations to facilitate timely receipt of faculty testing contracts and testing materials, approval of testing appointments, printing and scanning of testing materials, greeting students and faculty in the center, and seating students for tests. Occasional evening and weekend work is also required. The Coordinator is thus often handling multiple tasks and responding to competing needs but supervises at least one Testing Center Assistant to support these functions.

Bachelors plus 3-5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of administrative or program coordination experience in a fast-paced office or educational setting

- Flexibility and adaptability. Ability to respond to challenging situations, pressures, deadlines, and frequent schedule changes in real time and work with interruptions
- Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster positive and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Strong planning and organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
- Respect for privacy and adherence to confidentiality guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Canvas. Comfort learning new software and applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of administrative or program coordination experience in a higher education setting
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Ability to troubleshoot computer issues (on PC and Mac) that may arise in the course of test administration
- Experience with Accessible Information Management or similar disability service database, Slack, and Qualtrics(?)

Administers course tests consistent with faculty instructions and individually approved testing accommodations, thus supporting a critical ADA/504 compliance function, while maintaining security of testing materials and student confidentiality – 25%
