Summer Teachers Wanted – Come play with us!
Apply Here Job Description :
Summary
The Montpelier Children?s House is a small, Five STAR, birth through five program with competitive pay and paid time off. We are a close knit group of caring, supportive educators who prioritize joy filled, nature-based learning experiences and caring, responsive relationships with students while taking a collaborative approach to teaching and curriculum planning.
Our summer days are spent engaging in child-led play with ample time spent outside in all kinds of weather. Our summer methodology is focused on supporting young children in all aspects of their growth, with a special focus on place-based learning, social and emotional skills, creative problem solving, and material and natural world exploration.
The Montpelier Children?s House is seeking an inspired, energetic Summer Teacher/s for our program. This position begins in June and ends in August. Exact start and end dates are flexible.
Do you just love spending time exploring and expertly guiding play and learning outdoors with our youngest Vermonters? Are you an enthusiastic nurturer who sings throughout the day (and shamelessly makes up silly songs on the spot)? Do you love the satisfaction of getting creative and collaborating with co-teachers?
