Position Summary:
Working in a fast-paced environment, the Student Coordinator provides support to Academy students and staff to maintain efficient operation of the office. Specific responsibilities include invoicing and billing LE/MIL groups, managing student refunds by working with SIG accounting, answering student inquiries via phone and email, as well as basic office duties.
- Work with accounting pertaining to student refunds.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies for office/site operations.
- Manages student registrations from initial entry at SSA website to student arriving at SSA for training.
- Monitor student credentials to ensure students are in compliance with SSA legal requirements.
- Answer phone and email inquiries about Academy classes and SEC memberships, handling class cancellations, gift card issuance for cancellations, and adjustments when applicable.
- Assist with staffing special events hosted by SSA.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist walk in students with questions on classes and registrations.
- Ensures class cancellations and customer service is handled in a professional manner.
- Assists with student check-in daily.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, AR/collections, AP, accounting procedures preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in all the following: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to evaluate multiple ongoing tasks and non-routine situations, determine priorities and organize work in a manner that allows for timely completion of projects within deadline parameters.
- Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle programs and ability to demonstrate fast learning potential of new software systems to help implement said systems.
- Capable of presenting a positive, professional image of the company to a wide variety of contacts
- Demonstrates comfortable ability interacting with internal and external customers on a daily basis.
- Able to work both in a team environment and independently, taking direction from multiple staff members and supervisors.
- General office experience.
