Job Description :
The Office of Research Information Systems is seeking a Software Developer. The Software Developer will provide a primary role in the development and support of research applications. The primary application, the Electronic Research Integrity &amp Compliance (ERICA) System, is developed from the Huron Click Research Suite for use in Conflict of Interest (COI) and Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Responsibilities
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes, implements, troubleshoots, and debugs software programming applications.
  • Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., SQL, C#, HTML, and JavaScript).
  • Work on projects from analysis through development, testing, QA, and delivery.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Works with a small team, composed of individuals of varying backgrounds (QA, BA, designers, developers), as part of a larger team to develop a large web application.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to accurately estimate effort to complete projects &amp meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SQL and working with XML and Web Services (SOAP).
  • Proficient with C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a good knowledge of jQuery and Ajax.
  • Provide support for software applications.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.


Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio
  • Experience with Server Maintenance
  • Huron experience a plus
