Expired Job Description : Job Description PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Hand pack Shotshell product working safely maintaining all quality standards while achieving production levels at or above the posted goal thereby ensuring customers receive quality products when they want them at a competitive price. SHIFT INFORMATION: Monday -Friday 6am-2pm + OT as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, licenses, certifications, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently without continual supervision.
  • Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills and strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work 8 hours on assigned shift.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • No disciplinary action within the last 12 months at a Report of Conference level or above
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental duties necessary to achieve the objective of the position.)
  • Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storage.
  • Identify and dispose of defective items.
  • Properly use packaging materials.
  • Keep record of materials that are processed.
  • Follow all company guidelines.
  • Safety – Follow all rules and procedures keep area neat and orderly report all existing or potential safety hazards/issues to leadership immediately. Utilize Safety Observation system.
  • Environmental/hazardous waste – Understand and follow all procedures.
  • Quality – Understand all product quality requirements and procedures, insure they are met. Notify adjuster or leadership of excessive defective levels. Understand how defects can impact final customers including Law Enforcement and Military.
  • Production/Delivery – Achieve or exceed the posted production goals to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
  • Teamwork – Be an effective team member.
  • Continuous Improvement – Contribute your ideas through the Kaizen card process.
  • Work the hours scheduled for the assigned shift plus overtime as needed.
  • Operate production machines according to job break down tasks.
  • Assemble and handle ammunitions components and products.
  • Fill out paperwork.
  • Package loaded rounds.
  • Assist team with changeovers.
  • Follow 5S and clean up protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION (Knowledge, skills and abilities currently used to perform essential functions) Physical Requirements: Sitting for about 90% of the time. Reaching, handling, fingering and manual dexterity to inspect and package. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have normal color vision and normal depth perception capability. Mental Requirements: High level of mental attentiveness for safety and to manipulate and visually inspect small parts. Working Environment: Manufacturing floor environment is subject to exposure to noise, vibration, summer heat, moving objects and mechanical equipment hazards. Exposure to a wide variety of chemicals possible depending on assigned area. Work is often done with and around others as part of work teams and back-up from co-workers or supervisor is generally available.
