Shipping Warehouse

Diamond Plastics Corporation is one of todays leading PVC pipe producers in North America and one of the largest producers in the world with products for both water and sewer applications through 60 inches in diameter. Diamond Plastics has seven manufacturing facilities located strategically across the United States.

The position is responsible for all aspects of material handling and safe operation of material handling equipment. The position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Operate material handling equipment to load and unload product in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Accurately load and unload product, using forklifts.
  • Ensure that bundle and band material still meets inspection.
  • Check product for visual properties or damage prior to shipment leaving.
  • Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded and stable.
  • Record numbers of units handled and moved, using pick list.
  • Move stock, and other materials to and from yard and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Rebundle product as necessary.
  • Assist with inventory counting and reporting.
  • Assist with receiving inventory.
  • Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning up debris/scrap, maintenance up keep of the yard and/or equipment, and maintaining efficiency of the stock inventory in the yard.
  • Shovel material such as gravel or ice within the yard or around the premises.
  • Perform daily routine maintenance checks on loading equipment.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 8-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift, push and lift product with weights up to 60 pounds
