Summary

Performs the work required in the operation of the storeroom.

Job Duties &amp Responsibilities



Duties are:

  • Receive and issue materials, supplies, tools and equipment.
  • Move, handle, unpack, count, weigh, and measure materials, tools, supplies and equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as: forklifts, manups, marvel saws, carousels, conveyors, pallet jacks, cable pullers and floor weepers used in the operation of the storerooms.
  • Make minor repairs and adjustments or replace equipment such as: Off rings, rollers, small conveyor belts and indicating ights to secure proper operating conditions.
  • Take inventories of materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Tag, arrange and store materials and supplies.
  • Prepare materials for storage and shipment.
  • Clean storeroom materials, tools and supplies.
  • Maintain storerooms and storeroom equipment in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Weigh scrape materials.
  • Prepare and change charts, maintain pens and ribbons, check and reset time recording instruments located in the storeroom.
  • Perform the necessary clerical work related to this work.
  • Learn approved methods of artificial respiration.
  • Perform other similar or less skilled work of the occupational group.
  • Operate Company passenger cars and pick-up type trucks or equipment.
  • Operate miscellaneous hand tools such as power hack saws, power pipe cutting machines, etc.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet the Companys General Requirements,” and, in addition:

  • Must have successfully completed the appropriate Pre-Employment Tests except that an employee hired prior to May 1, 1977, who has or obtains a high school diploma or its equivalent does not have to complete the Pre-employment Tests.
  • Must demonstrate the following:
    • the ability to follow instructions and carry out duties as assigned.
    • an aptitude for the operation of Nuclear generating station equipment.
    • keen faculties of observation.
    • the ability to receive and transmit messages.
  • Must be licensed to operate vehicles in the State of New Jersey.
  • Require equivalent work experience can be defined by one of the following
  • Warehouse Logistics
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Forklift experience
  • Must meet and maintain Nuclear unescorted site access.
