BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Security Badging Specialist will work collaboratively across the organization to manage and distribute security badges and access control. Ensure compliance with the badging program responsibilities, audits, and policy standards. Maintain administrative records and associated databases related to the badging office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide support for the badging program operations and day-to-day functions, adhering to company policy and standards. Answer phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Manage badge distribution and address all badging requests accurately and efficiently. Ensure appropriate assignment of access to areas or resources. Manage and maintain data related to cardholder profiles with a high level of accuracy. Update employee, student, volunteer, contractor, and vendor badge access as directed. Troubleshoot and report problems or concerns related to access control issues and policies. Maintain accurate tracking logs of temporary and contractor badges that have been signed in and signed out. Create and distribute badges for weekly new hire orientations. Update and maintain the badging system to ensure proper functionality and security, including troubleshooting technical issues and replacing malfunctioning badges. Ensure badging supplies are in stock and equipment is functional. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Direction is received from assigned supervisor/manager or designee.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, technical certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. One (1) year of customer service experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
