POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

A Sales Development Specialist (SDS) focuses on general sales process and internal sales operations as well as outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification. The role will be responsible for CRM management and reporting on behalf of the Sales team to ensure access to data for all team members. SDSs also focus on general coordination and monitoring of the sale process flow in partnership with Sales Representatives to ensure effective end to end sales effort. SDSs help move leads through the sales pipeline. They connect and learn about their businesses and needs. If a prospect is a good fit, SDSs schedule next steps with Sales reps. SDSs educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential customers. They contact lead and determine where the sales efforts need to be focused.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE

  • Support execution of Account Based Marketing campaigns as part of a cross-functional team
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients
  • Generate and qualify leads to build the sales pipeline by effective communication with clients and Local Offices Sales Team
  • Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in conjunction with Territory Managers to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Work with Territory Managers to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet revenue goals
  • Identify qualified prospects, generate conversations, and set up meetings and demos
  • Respond to inbound inquiries generated by website content and marketing campaigns
  • Prospect new accounts and engage with potential new customers including telephony, email campaigns (educational webinars invitations) and social selling (networking events, conferences, and site meetings)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in relevant field
  • +2 years of Inside Sales experience
  • Strong relationship and organizational skills are required
  • Must be goal-oriented, determined, well-articulated and have strong CRM skills (Salesforce preferred)
  • Must be strong in training, coaching, and personal development
