Job Summary:
As a Sales Coordinator for Resort Sales, you will provide clerical support to a group of Sales Managers within the Convention Sales team. You will assist Sales Managers with client-facing activities and handle transactions for accounts, while maintaining heavy call volume of Guests and partners.
You will report to the Sales Director.
You Will:
On any given day, as a Sales Coordinator, you might:
Support Sales Managers with sales opportunities, pre-arrival details, and all vital clerical work, while handling a heavy phone volume
Research clients using internet resources such as LinkedIn
Prepare all logistics and documentation for client site visits
Handle details of sales trips for the team, including booking and confirming travel arrangements, pre-trip research, coordinating vital materials, and sales kit preparation
Complete managers and clients requests, including dining reservations, backstage clearance, ground transportation arrangements, tickets purchases, and general Disney questions
Provide data entry support for documents and contracts, as requested by leadership
Request park venues reservations and work with Sales and Services Managers to coordinate venue space moves
Correspond with vendors and partners for client amenities
Request group history reports, process expense reports, build client files, and prepare files for audits
Correspond with partners regarding VIPs and key client needs and requests
Prepare and ship materials and packages
You Will Have:
Here is what you need to be successful at this job:
Minimum 6 months of work experience in sophisticated guest service role or administrative role
Knowledge of Hospitality Industry, including processes and work flows
High proficiency crafting Excel reports, PowerPoint presentations and e-proposals, communicating using Outlook, and capability to adapt to new technology and software applications quickly
Curiosity about establishing positive relationships with leaders and partners to move the operation forward to the next level of excellence
Capability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understands updates, priorities, and appropriate course for critical issues
Disposition to proactively take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
Capability to discover, understand, and communicate client needs clearly and optimally
High proficiency managing requests and priorities simultaneously amidst constant change
Creativity to use technology to build innovative solutions for the team and clients
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
Proficiency with the Disney Advantage tools
Knowledge of Siebel/CRM, DSCS, Banquet Event Orders, Certain, and/or A La Carte
Experience supporting groups and conventions teams
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
