Revenue Cycle Representative- REMOTE

The Revenue Cycle Representative is responsible for denial management and payment accuracy verification for assigned wound care centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate experience in healthcare billing and collection requirements of all third-party payers, including government regulations and procedures.
• Perform insurance and or billing clerical duties, including review and verification of patient account information against insurance program specifications.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances due from insurance payers. Assist hospital partners with appeals, rebilling and inquire continuously until resolved.
• Research and obtain the necessary information to successfully respond to insurance claim denials.
• Record appropriate data and notes into hospital or other designated billing system to process charges, payments, denials and adjustments when appropriate.
• Act as a liaison between Hospital Billing Department and RestorixHealth.
• Review and completely understand our wound care aging accounts reporting.
• Enter and format payment information for RestorixHealth Accounting Department for client invoicing.
• Responsible for reviewing all wound care and HBO accounts within assigned facility / center with updates to Revenue Cycle Director as needed.
• Maintain appropriate reports, such as billing work sheets and aging reports and or other files as needed to perform required task.
• Provide regular updates to the divisional Revenue Cycle Director on all outstanding issues.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all patient, hospital and / or physician related information.
• Travel to hospital accounts if needed or as required to obtain needed medical records and / or to meet with hospital billing staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist Revenue Cycle Director with new center implementation and support Front Desk Coordinator (FDC) as needed.
• Perform duties as directed by Revenue Cycle Director.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Technical Skills:

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent with at least two years’ experience as a medical biller, coder, collections specialist, healthcare claims filing or auditing in a medical facility (out-patient facility), medical practice, office or agency.
• General understanding and working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for the entire time the position is held.
