As a Research Consultant , you will perform a variety of research and analysis tasks to support consulting projects for federal and state governments, health plans, associations and foundations, hospitals, and health systems.
OSC/Lewin is looking for a detail-oriented individual to work with its project teams supporting the identification of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) in government health programs in our Program Integrity, Data Analytics, and Reporting capability (PIDAR). PIDAR assists state and federal administrations such as the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services in evaluating and optimizing healthcare program operations through a combination of analytic and policy-driven research, modeling, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Embrace the use of quantitative and qualitative skills to understand the driving factors of FWA in the government space
- Perform a variety of research and consulting tasks, including data review and analysis
- Contribute critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop creative and innovative solutions
- Improve existing project deliverables and perform ad hoc analyses based on client need
- Manage time effectively across multiple projects or tasks, with different managers and competing priorities
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy, along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to always meet deadlines

Required Qualifications:
- Degree Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and 2+ years of experience performing qualitative and/or quantitative analysis, overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks and preparing presentations and reports for clients
- Master’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Academic and/or work experience
- Performing qualitative or quantitative analysis
- Overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks
- Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Working effectively as a member of a project team
- Preparing presentations and reports for clients
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analysis tools (such as SAS, STATA, SPSS, etc.)
- Healthcare or human services research experience
- Familiarity with medical claims data and/or medical auditing data
