POSITION SUMMARY
In a typical 24-hour production cycle, we conduct 30,000 documented quality checks involving ingredient/packaging, receiving, processing, and packing. That’s how much we care. The Quality Assurance Supervisor, is responsible for implementing, managing, and improving the factory Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality products. You will coordinate and ensure factory food safety programs in place comply with guidelines. In this role, you will oversee all sanitation standards throughout the factory. You will also guide trainings and knowledge through all of the employees in the factory to ensure food safety practices.
  • Manage Personnel Practices, Master Sanitation Schedule, Foreign Material Control, Chemical Control, and Zoning programs.
  • Monitor pest activity, identify and implement corrective actions, and plan pest control methods and heat treatments.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance reviews of Product Safety department employees.
  • Communicate with plant and department managers regarding status and needs of the product safety area.
  • Conduct coaching and performance reviews of the Product Safety department employees.
  • Ensure all food safety programs in place at the factory comply with Regulatory, Nestle Purina, ISO 22000, and ISO 22002 guidelines.
  • Manage contracted chemical services, grounds keeping including snow removal, paper shredding, and janitorial services.


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a food manufacturing or industrial facility, military, or related field
  • 1+ year of leadership experience

Other
  • Must obtain a Pesticide Applicator and Qualified Pesticide Supervisor Certification within 3 months (90 days) from the date of hire and within 3 months of eligibility.

The approximate pay range for this position is $63,000 to $92,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
