Responsible for the receiving and accounting of incoming materials and supplies. Ensures that merchandise is not damaged or below company standards.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Responsible for receiving and verifying all shipments to include, but not limited to, food, beverage and dry goods. Inspects and/or weighs boxes to ensure that merchandise is not damaged or below company standards. Verifies orders for correctness, quality and condition. Reports any substandard merchandise to Purchasing Manager.
Reports all out of stock items to Purchasing Manager.
Dates and inspects all perishable goods. Checks temperatures of all meats and fish and notes them on the invoices.
Ensures that work and storage area is clean and sanitary. Adheres to all health code regulations and food safe-handling procedures.
Conducts random weight sampling by weighing goods that are purchased by weight.
Ensures that merchandise is properly removed from loading area and placed in appropriate storage facility. Ensures that product is stored in accordance with Board of Health Regulations and can be easily rotated.
Conducts physical inventories when assigned.
Reviews and verifies that all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Obtains required signatures on all receipts and bills of lading.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in a busy environment. Must be able to tolerate a work area with extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
Physical Requirements
Specialized Work Experience
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to continually lift, carry, push and pull heavy materials weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull carts with or without assistance.
Must have knowledge of food quality standards and product identification.
Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
