The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is looking a skilled individual to be a Program Specialist I for the Traffic Management Division (TMD) that reports directly to the Division Administrative Manager.

The primary responsibilities of the Program Specialist is provide accounting support for the various groups within the TMD, office support for TMD staff, organize meetings, payroll support, maintaining records in the ProjectWise system, and TMD website management.

Principal Duties
As a Program Specialist, you will:
  • Manage the CCure Security Program for the TMD
  • Applies UDOT Policy and Procedures applicable to the TMD
  • Analyzes Incident Management Team (IMT) data, interprets the data, and then makes recommendations for budget and quality improvement
  • Manage the TMD Website
  • Provides information to the public through the TMD website
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Use of multiple computer software programs
  • Interact with the public, external partners, and other agencies with professionalism, ensuring the continued growth and enhancement of UDOTs relations with these groups
  • Ability to problem solve in high pressure situations
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or other form
  • Generate accurate and concise information in response to a variety of variables

  • This position may be eligible for remote work after initial training period. Remote work must be approved by the supervisor and be within Utah.
  • Working Conditions – Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
  • Physical Requirements – Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work
  • Employee may be reassigned to a different location as deemed necessary by the Region Director/Group Leader
