Position Summary
The Production Trainee is responsible for carrying out all routine operations and operating equipment within the plant.
Ownership
- Safely operate all production machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, hoses, etc.
- Manually handle cased goods around manufacturing area.
- Follow all safety rules and requirements and GMP guidelines.
- Weigh and prepare raw materials for processing.
- Provide coverage for line operators during assigned rest periods.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.
- Work with fellow operators as a team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
- Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Perform general housekeeping and plant clean up as needed.
- Responsible for accurately documenting production activities and submitting required paperwork.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.
- Required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel for much of assigned shift.
- Must have the ability to stay at work station and area for three continuous hours.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable being exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
