QUALIFICATIONS:
The Nashua School District is seeking to fill the position of the Pre-School Coordinator. The successful candidate will have a passion for childrens success, exceptional organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills to be able to develop and motivate staff to attain student growth and learning standards. Candidates must be certified in Special Ed Early Childhood Education with experience working with special needs students in this age group. Masters degree in Special Education or Special Ed Administrator certification is preferred with prior teaching and supervisory experience with pre-school population. Knowledge of Federal and state law, local policies and the NH Standards for Education of Children with Disabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to use technology and plan effectively.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transitions pre-school, 3-5 year-old students into the Nashua School District Early Education Program (NEEP), including initial intake, assignment of case manager, serving as contact person, collaborating with outside agencies, coordinate referrals, evaluations and placements, supervision of the team, case management of Out-of-District preschool students, case management of court placed preschool students. Supervises implementation of the curriculum and IEP process for preschool students oversees the Play Pals selection process and programs. Under the direction of the Special Education Director, creates and implements new education opportunities, advises budgetary needs, administers the IDEA Preschool Grant, assists with Medicare billing of pre-school programs.
