Job Description :

Scentsy is looking for a Photo Retoucher to edit, deliver, and manage all photographic and image content for Scentsy products and programs. The Photo Retoucher will assist with color management and all post-production photography work, ensuring all final images are executed as initially intended and to Scentsy’s standard of quality.

What You Would Do:

  • Edit images by retouching, label replacing, compositing, cropping, color correcting, and general photo manipulation for both print and online delivery of product photography
  • Work with production team to ensure proper naming and organization of files
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director to ensure the look and feel of photos are most effective for the project
  • Collaborate and advise on all aspects of the photography process
  • Estimate and track production hours per project
  • Manage output and delivery of images to various departments
  • Make photo selections based on business needs
  • Assist in archiving of images
  • Assist in managing assets and editing direction with external photo editing vendors
  • Assist the photo team throughout the photographic process as needed
  • Assist in managing projects and prioritizing workload
  • Assist in the creation and management of the post-production processes
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
  • Occasionally edit large batches of event photography

You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience working as a Photo Retoucher. Experience with product retouching is preferred
  • High level proficiency in retouching and compositing
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Photography experience preferred

Things You Should Know &amp Be Able to Do:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with retouching, label replacing, compositing, cropping, color correcting, and general photo manipulation for both print and online delivery of product photography
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to navigate change
  • Ability to provide thoughtful input when projects change, timelines shift, or scopes vary
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaboratively to mitigate issues as they arise
  • Ability to accept and deliver constructive feedback in a thoughtful and timely manner
  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills—collaborative, diplomatic, professional, resourceful, and patient
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Bridge
  • Expert editing skills (color correction, photo manipulation, masking, compositing, clipping, skin correction, image cleanup, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Lightroom
  • Basic Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Label replacing skills preferred
  • Strong understanding of photography processes and components
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project components at a fast pace
  • Strong knowledge of lighting and composition
  • Ability to work well in collaborative team environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of computers and applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
  • During photo-shoots work may require the ability to kneel, bend, twist, push, pull, and climb
  • During photo-shoots work requires the ability to work around bright flashes of light
