Expired Job Description :Seeking a knowledgeable, personable, technically-oriented and experienced writer/editor in or near South Florida to discover and produce content for a new online industry journal dedicated to the complex and intricate work behind the scenes in major yacht and vessel Refits. Candidate must be able to find, describe, and illustrate examples of the ingenuity and imagination involved in every kind of Refit-related project and process, and also to find and engage skilled technicians interested in creating and sharing such content with discerning industry professionals, owners, and other knowledgeable decision-makers. Hours may be flexibly structured, if necessary. Quality matters much more than quantity.
Essential requirements:
- Nuanced understanding of the Refit Industry, with all its challenges and potentials.
- High appreciation for the technical skills & abilities inherent in quality Refit projects and processes.
- Commitment to inspiring industry professionals and shipyards with widely diverse examples of ingenuity and imagination in Refit projects, from the initial questions to the final sea trials.
- Ability to photographically illustrate and describe complex technical processes in robust, compelling, and engaging ways.
- Ability to encourage technicians and other technical professionals to illustrate and describe complex technical processes in robust, compelling, and engaging ways.
- Commitment to elevating and advancing professionalism, quality, integrity, and best practices & standards throughout the Refit Industry.
