General Summary

DSW is looking for a talented creative, analytical, and results-oriented Brand Strategy Manager to develop and champion strategic marketing campaigns. This position is responsible for managing seasonal and key initiative-based marketing strategies, including gathering data from a variety of sources, synthesizing insights, developing integrated marketing strategies and leading cross functional partners for seamless execution. The Brand Strategy Manager will be a critical thinker who is creatively curious, has an instinct for brand storytelling, and a well-informed strategic marketing POV to drive business results. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy and will lead a team of Brand Strategy Specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile industry trends, competitive patterning, consumer insights, business performance, and market results, extracting key insights to develop and influence marketing strategy

  • Develop integrated seasonal marketing strategies and campaigns, which are grounded in insights, consistent with the brand positioning, meet brand objectives and effectively build the brand

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of internal campaign performance and external brand competition, pulling out insights and utilizing learnings to impact future strategy

  • Partner closely with Creative team to develop campaign concepts, collaborating together on positioning, voice, and look/feel to align back to strategy

Present seasonal and initiative-based strategies to marketing department &amp key stakeholders through the use of effective presentation and storytelling skills

  • Partner with marketing organization and channel owners to activate seasonal and initiative-based marketing plans, influencing tactical planning and ensuring strategy comes to life effectively
  • Assist in the development of seasonal content strategy and management of seasonal Go To Market calendar

  • Strong collaboration &amp communication skills as this role works with many cross-functional partners must have the ability to build and cultivate relationships and influence across all levels of the organization

  • Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with deep experience in presentation development and storytelling proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Must have customer-first approach with ability to leverage customer insights to make decisions and guide strategy

  • Must possess analytical acumen with ability to gather, digest, manipulate, &amp share complex data sets proficient in Microsoft Excel


Experience:


  • 6+ years of experience working in a Marketing function with a focus on strategy, with 2+ years of experience leading and developing internal talent


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in brand marketing strategy
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams to develop campaigns and drive business results
  • Experience building Powerpoint presentations and storytelling to large audiences, including at the leadership level

  • Retail experience preferred


Education:


  • Bachelors degree in marketing or related field
