Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to carry out experiments under close supervision of a faculty investigator, senior technician, or postdoctoral fellow, in a pediatric oncology lab that specializes in solid tumor research. Follows routine protocols under the close supervision.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Participates in lab meetings and journal clubs.
- Records data.
- Maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
- Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Prepares, cleans, sterilizes, and maintains laboratory equipment, glassware, and instruments used in research experiments.
- Grows and maintains human cell lines used in laboratory research.
- Performs experiments under direct supervision of a senior lab member and in doing so, utilizes requisite lab equipment and instruments.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some undergraduate coursework.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 – $20.00 HRLY ($17.50/hour targeted Commensurate with experience)
