Santouka Ramen Tyson Square is a restaurant that opened in August. We have over 50 stores worldwide.

Come cook authentic Japanese ramen with us! Learn to cook authentic Japanese Ramen in our new and exciting restaurant, located at the new The Boro in Tysons. Ramen is one of the fastest growing trends and we are looking for enthusiastic cooks to join our team!

The Kitchen Staff or Line Cook assists the Chef in the preparation and service of menu items and performs a number of kitchen activities including cooking, prepping, dish washing, and general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist chef in preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including pantry items, salads, soups, sauces, and with pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
  • Store and properly handle raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies.
  • Wash dishes and pots.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment.
  • Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Empty trash containers as required.
  • Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines.
  • Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
  • Comply with restaurant’s dress code.
  • Follow safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
