Duties

What to Expect

  • Assists the Human Resources Employee Relations Branch Manager in administration of a NAF Human Resources Program with direct responsibility for employee development and training.
  • Analyzes business needs, performance levels, and training requests to identify gaps between current and desired performance levels, and current and future skill requirements.
  • Suggests most effective methods of addressing performance and development needs.
  • Provides an integrated on-boarding process designed to transition new employees into their roles and the organization effectively and efficiently.
  • Conducts training presentations using a variety of techniques and methods.
  • This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resources or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND four years of specialized experience to oversee a large employee development/training program for a customer service-oriented organization that demonstrates knowledge and skill to plan, administer, and evaluate a wide range of training for a diverse group of employees, in a variety of job families, and at various levels of responsibility,
  • OR an appropriate combination of education and substantial employee development/training experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above,
  • OR substantial employee development/training experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and/or lead employees in the accomplishment of work.
  • Skill to conduct needs assessments to analyze, evaluate and identify training needs, and training plans.
  • Experience in development of tracks of training that compliment overall human resources goals to attract, retain and develop employees to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps NAF policies and procedures preferred.
