Health Screener- 5/15/2022

TideSmart health seeks two medical professionals to provide blood pressure readings during a single-day event in collaboration with the American Heart Association. This is a single day, contract role. The Health Screener will work with TideSmart Operations staff to conduct blood pressure readings for members of the public during an event on Sunday, May 15th in Portland, Maine. Paid training session to take place in advance of the event date.

Schedule

Event Hours: 8:00 AM-2:00 PM, 5/15/2022

Skills/Knowledge/Competencies:

• Credentialed medical professional or current medical student
• Able to manage patient queues
• Comfortable working with the general public
• Must be willing to undergo competency training for the testing supplies used.
• Ability to perform blood pressure monitoring in a clinically compliant manner following all policies procedures (including, but not limited to, state/federal laws, OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA)
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols
• Work collaboratively with Site Clinical Lead and Site/Tour Manager and team to maintain health and safety for all participants and staff.
• Ability to monitor inventory and site supplies.
• Must be punctual and have reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must follow all policies, procedures, and instructions in the programs training manual and clinical standard operation procedure manual.

Education/Experience:

• 1+ years health screening, clinical, and/or healthcare experience (required)
• Medical students encouraged to apply

Physical Demands:

• The position requires frequent walking, long periods of standings, sitting, bending, talking, listening, reaching above shoulder level, reaching below waist, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• This position operates outdoors and in a mobile clinic (retrofitted RV vehicle)
• Set up and break down of portable medical station as well as maintaining cleanliness of screening area.
