Furniture Support Specialist

The Furniture Support Specialist (FSS) is an integral part of the Staples Furniture Solutions organization, collaboratively supporting the Staples Business Advantage sales organization and customers. Serving as the first point of contact for all pre-sale transactional furniture requests, including, product availability, product inquires/recommendations, quote requests, special order requests or related support that help customers foster a safe and productive work environment – whether in the office or working from home. This role will receive inbound requests, and work to provide customer solutions while identifying opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell. The FSS will support the customer, through the completion of the sale.For more complex opportunities, the FSS will partner to transfer the lead to the Furniture Sales Consultant (FSC). Complex transactional opportunities include standards programs and Work from Home programs which require regular customer meetings and a customer implementation.

What you’ll be doing:
  • First point of contact for all pre-sale transactional furniture requests.
  • Primarily be focused on supporting customer requests received from the Furniture Sales Consultants
(FSC’s) and Account Managers (AM).
  • Provide customer support on inquiries related to product, availability, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of solutions, quotes, and proposals for transactional furniture
  • opportunities
  • Up-sell and cross-sell on every opportunity.
  • Responsible for executing sales campaigns and sales initiatives.
  • Complete regular training on products, vertical market solutions and sales tactics.
  • Identify opportunity leads in existing accounts to transfer to FSCs.
  • Follow up on customers with open quotes.
  • Develop selling skills of qualifying, strategizing, sales call tactics, closing, and maintaining service levels
  • Learn the primary Staples operating platforms (Sunrise and Furniture Quoting Software)

  • Average quote size
  • Average customer contacts per day
  • # of opportunities created
  • Opportunity win rate
  • Leads generated

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong computer experience in MS Office Platforms, AS400 and furniture quoting software,
  • Furniture industry/product knowledge – ability to anticipate competitive positioning and respond
accordingly knowledge of current industry trends in order to recommend relevant and leading-edge
solutions to customers
