Field Director (Full Time)

The South Dakota Democratic Party is hiring a full-time Field Director to lead our volunteer
outreach and mobilizations efforts.
The Field Director will report to the Executive Director and work with the entire team.

reality, we are working to empower, organize, and elect Democrats at every level in every corner
of our state.
Duties Include:
Training, recruiting, and activating volunteers to elect Democratic candidates across
South Dakota
Designing and executing virtual and in-person events to recruit and retain volunteers
Collaborating with the Data & Development Director to develop direct voter contact
targets
Leading SDDP’s voter registration campaign
Supervising paid, part-time youth organizers
Coordinating with and training candidates on voter contact
Collecting and inputting shift data into Votebuilder
Leading SDDP fair and parade activations
Requirements:
Lots of energy to excite volunteers and mobilize action
Willingness to make phone calls and ask people to volunteer
A strong desire to elect Democrats in South Dakota
Driver’s License and Vehicle
Organizing Experience (Preferred)
Votebuilder Experience (Preferred)
This is a full-time position lasting through November 2022. The pay for this position is $3,300
per month. Benefits include paid time off, paid sick days, paid federal holidays off, and a
healthcare reimbursement. Due to the nature of the job, this position requires work on evenings
and weekends, but the SDDP prioritizes work-life balance and seeks for this position to stick to
40 hours most weeks.
