THE POSITION

In this role, you will play a crucial role in administering the application and knowledge testing processes for Pennsylvanias commercial and non-commercial driver licensing programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of this position, you will be directly interacting with customers to verify their identification, assist them in completing application forms, and input their information into an online driver license application software. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering standardized knowledge tests to assess the applicants understanding of the Vehicle Code, driving laws, and traffic control devices. A vision screening using a telebinocular instrument will be conducted to evaluate visual acuity. You will also be required to enter applicant test results and customer applications into online software systems using a PC terminal. It is crucial to strictly adhere to the customer service policy of Driver and Vehicle Services. Moreover, you will be responsible for correctly and accurately documenting fee waivers whenever necessary to process a customer transaction in compliance with the Fee Waiver Guidelines. Finally, you may be assigned other related duties as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday- Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel as required.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
