Digital Manufacturing Consultant

Youll provide a high level of technical expertise and consulting on Operations MES and business processes associated for Material Flow and Specification flow from conception to the manufacturing floor, understanding the end-to-end impacts of the system and its connections. Assist in establishing standards for the plant and staff teams.
Youll also be a recognized resource for SMOM and possesses high standards of professional performance. Leads and delivers the analysis, design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment and support for applications and technology within a specified business process area. Lead the implementation and rollout of various digital manufacturing systems. Identify and prioritize system enhancements to improve system effectiveness, capability and functionality.

This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. Through network building, best practice championing, and standardization, this role deploys our strategic vision of digital manufacturing to ensure top tier value delivery through the use of our digital capabilities.
In this role, you will:

Be accountable for compiling, analyzing, and interpreting end to end processes from creation of specification to manufacturing and tactical recommendations to business managers in order to enhance manufacturing delivery to customers.

Leverage statistical analyses solve complex operational, systems-related and customer issues with possible financial risk. Create and maintain databases using data from multiple customer sources.

Partner with IT technology group to define business requirements for IT solutions perform user acceptance testing, lead complex changes, and develop relevant training material. Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware components, Servers, Networking, Firewalls. Experience of scanner / handheld & labelling technologies

Define and develop reports that meet plant and staff customer needs and streamline their daily workflow using various reporting tools. Work within a manufacturing environment with an understanding of key KPI’s.

Provide support for developing and implementing plans and programs for sustaining the long term growth of SMOM to meet sector objectives. Manage complex production efforts and large projects requiring the coordination of resources, budgets and deadlines.

Contribute as a technical team member to various situations, projects and activities not included in other principal accountabilities to assist in the accomplishment of established objectives. Coordination of regional projects relating to new and existing digital systems within the KCNA manufacturing facilities

Drive evolution of digital transformation journey through new technology and capability introduction and implementation. Build organizational capability in digital manufacturing through key user training and support.

Accelerate value delivery through KCNA’s digital manufacturing strategy.

Provide hands on support, additionally responsible for gathering business requirements for system enhancements

Required:

Bachelors degree.

Professional experience with a minimum of 5+ years of Information Technology or Engineering experience including working directly with business clients.

3+ years of R&E, Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience.
-
Experience of leading assigned IT Projects and/or Programs.
-
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (i.e. GE Plant Apps, OSI PI Historian, etc.) and manufacturing operations based IT solutions
-
Experience building and maintaining business systems and processes. Proficient in data access tools and PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
-
Ability to identify and solve computer hardware/software problems.
-
Ability to self-manage with little direct supervision.
-
Be available by phone to respond to call-ins for service and be available to travel for business needs.
-
Experience with deploying and driving execution via performance measurement, benchmarking, and related visual management.

Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
Preferred:

Experience with material recipes, product specifications, GE Plant Applications and SQL database fundamentals.

Preferred experience with SQL, PowerBI, and SEEQPossess or demonstrate the ability to learn SAP ERP activities.
