Community Support Assistant – Moruya/Turros Heads areas

Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is an established provider of Community Care Services in NSW. Our ultimate goal is to support clients to remain at home and engaged in their local community.

The Role

This is a casual position suited to applicants with a genuine desire to assist aged care clients fulfil their needs and goals and remain well living at home. Our lovely team of Community Support Assistants provide in home support which includes personal care, social support, and domestic assistance.

Based in Moruya/Turros Heads areas, you must have confidence and ability to work autonomously and travel to clients homes in and around their local community.

About You

• Experience with client support – including some personal care, domestic assistance and social support
• Willing to work a variety of am and pm shifts, through Monday to Friday
• Exceptional verbal &amp written communication skills to facilitate &amp support client engagement &amp independence
• High level of time management
• Enthusiastic &amp passionate about providing a caring quality service for the elderly
• Well presented with a positive attitude
• Model team qualities such as respect, helpfulness, cooperation &amp support
• Sound knowledge of people with dementia
• Ability to provide progress reports

Qualifications

• Relevant Cert III minimum qualification in Aged/Disability or Community Care
• Current clear National Police Check
• First Aid &amp CPR Certificate (willingness to obtain)
• Opens Drivers Licence &amp own Car
• Comprehensive Car Insurance
• Smart Phone

Remuneration

Competitive salary package on offer including option to salary sacrifice, km allowance, comprehensive induction, and ongoing training/career development opportunities. Great hourly rate plus paid time and kilometres between clients.
