DESCRIPTION OF WORK
We are looking for Clerical Assistant 1s who are eager to learn and are task-oriented. You will perform various clerical duties surrounding mail coming and going from our office in Harrisburg. Key job duties include:
- Receiving large volumes of mail and certified registered mail where a signature is required. Multiple trips per day to the delivery dock is required
- Opening mail using a mail slitter to be sorted, logged, and scanned to ensure mail is distributed to the proper bureau. This includes mending torn mail and scanning bulk packages into the web tracking system (WTS)
- Logging into Enterprise Content Services (ECS) to review scanned images and resolve any discrepancies looping in a supervisor to help resolve discrepancies
- Preparing a daily report of production showing the type of work completed or not completed, as well as time spent on each assignment
- Meeting a set daily production standard
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending to retrieve, scan, and deliver mail
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
