Business Office Specialist (Part Time)

Arkansas Valley Surgery Center, Canon City, CO specializes in Bariatric Surgery/Weight Loss Surgery, Eye Procedures, General Surgery, GI procedures, Podiatry, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Pain Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently searching for a part time Business Office Specialist available to work Mondays – Fridays 30 hours per week. This individual would be able to work accounts receivable, billing, payment posting, scheduling, and insurance verification among other front office duties.

Responsibilities:

• Check-in and registration of patients
• Insurance Verification and coordination of benefits
• Insurance Billing
• Posting of insurance and patient payments
• Schedule of patients
• Answer phone calls
• Answer patient questions and provide customer service to patients and their families.
• Verify Demographics
• Critical thinking

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 Months experience in a medical office setting
• Minimum 6 months experience in medical insurance billing and A/R

Other Qualifications:

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment.

Must pass a background check and drug screen.

The pay range for this position is: $18.20 – $28.44 / hour dependent on applicants relevant experience.
