Position Summary

The Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Analyst primarily assists the BSA Officer in identifying and mitigating money laundering risk by conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) investigations corporate-wide. The incumbent will assist the BSA Officer and other members of management regarding the application of the Bank Secrecy Act, Treasury Department’s regulations, and the USA PATRIOT Act along with other legal requirements.


This position is remote. This position is not eligible for a remote basis for residents of California, Colorado and New York.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operational Duties:
    • Daily monitoring for suspicious activities on:
      • Customer Accounts
      • Large Currency Transactions
      • CTR filings
    • Assures a positive working relationship is developed and maintained with auditors / examiners
    • Serves as technical resource involving BSA and AML issues
    • Coordinates with Risk Tracker, AML Software, to find resolution to reporting issues/enhancements to output
    • Maintain required documentation to support compliance with BSA regulations, including but not limited to:
      • Suspicious activity investigations and reporting
      • Customer Information Program compliance initiatives
      • Corporate-wide training activities
      • Office of Foreign Assets Control
      • FinCEN 314(a) requests
      • Other internal control measures as directed by the BSA Officer.
  • Standards and Training:
    • Maintain required training in a self-paced environment
    • Update and prepare BSA training materials
    • Responsible for all BSA training
    • Maintains policy and procedures
    • Provides employees assistance with questions and issues that may arise
  • Reporting:
    • Monthly and quarterly reports:
      • Filing suspicious activity reports
      • Review of cash intensives accounts
      • Identify and monitor high risk accounts
    • Producing various bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports used by bank management and Federal regulators to monitor the BSA and AML compliance program. This includes implementing effective monitoring procedures to ensure the bank is in compliance with government standards.
    • Analyzes specific cases and presents findings to the compliance director with recommendations for actions to be taken
  • Customer Service – Responsible for fostering the FirstBank Experience to our internal customers, FirstBank associates.
  • Adhere to Policy and Procedures – Responsible for all compliance with bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity.

    • Must meet all required training
    • No CIP violations
    • No compliance violations

Qualifications:

  • Some college education preferred, but not required.

  • 2+ years of experience in similar compliance position with a bank.

  • Or 5+ years of experience with a bank
