Job Summary
The UK Internal Audit office is currently seeking an Audit Assistant to provide audit and administrative support. This position will report to the Business Audit Manager. Responsibilities will include: collaborate with a team of auditors to understand client’s business and organizational practices participate on audits in the field research, read, review and interpret federal and state regulations applicable to projects note-taking to support client interviews analyze business documentation, reports and data develop workflows of business processes and assist in identifying areas of opportunity enter and verify data participate in team meetings initiate and perform cursory review of audit documents in the audit management system support the development of auditor trainings and participate in all trainings and additional projects/tasks as assigned.
Internal Audit assists university management, administration, and the Board of Trustees in the effective discharge of their fiduciary and administrative responsibilities by providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services with respect to evaluating risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
Auditing is a profession of critical importance it requires unique skills and a deep commitment. Auditing is rigorous, challenging, complex and ever-changing. One aspect that an Internal Auditor must do is to evaluate business processes using professional skepticism, while becoming a “trusted business consultant” to the client. Internal Audit is seeking an individual that possess a certain number of skills, abilities and knowledge that will enable them to succeed in this position.
