Two full-time positions available with the City Managers Office, Administrative Division located at 414 E. 12th St.
Salary Range: $7,268-$10,902/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Hybrid telework schedule is available after probationary period, with a minimum of 3 days in the office

Provides general assistance to the City Manager and Assistant City Managers. Interprets administrative policies and relays instructions on policy and procedural revisions. Negotiates contracts and other legal instruments. Works with the Mayor and City Council, City Manager, Assistant City Managers, and department heads in planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing programs for various municipal functions. Coordinates with Assistant City Managers on matters affecting their areas of responsibility. Investigates and reports to the City Manager and Assistant City Managers on inter-divisional and interdepartmental questions of procedures or interpretation of responsibility. Meets and corresponds with various governmental, citizen, professional, business, and other groups to answer questions, discuss problems, and secure their involvement in completing various programs. Meets with various citizen groups, including those representing ethnic minorities, regarding problems of discrimination, equal employment opportunities, and housing and health services. As requested by the City Manager, attends Council meetings and prepares progress reports concerning activities for which responsible. Advises and makes recommendations to the City Manager and Assistant City Managers covering areas of management of the Citys programs and activities. Briefs the City Manager on matters of significance to ensure that appropriate action is taken. Coordinate complex programs or projects of interest to the City Manager. Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience in managing public or private sector programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Preferences are given for prior work experience with policy development and implementation or event planning or contract administration or grant administration or supervision or prior work experience in public administration.

Pay: $7,268.00 – $10,902.00 per month
