REPORTS TO: Manager, MP&ampA Applications

The Applications Analyst will be responsible for functional support within Merchandising, Merchandise Planning and Allocation (MP&ampA). Focus includes steady state support of current applications and processes, as well as defining requirements, aligning upon scope, creating functional designs, participating in functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) and technology release plans. This role closely partners with peers in the MP&ampA technology team, peer Victoria’s Secret &amp Co technology (VSIT) Function and Technical partners, and Business users. Technology solutions in the Merchandising and MP&ampA space may span across vendor applications, internally developed custom built applications and Excel, SQL or database tools.

OBJECTIVES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and maintains strong partnerships and relationships with both Brand partners and other cross functional technology partners.
  • Demonstrates functional expertise in at least one area, system and/or application.
  • Serves as the Functional Lead on projects or mid-size programs participates in and delivers project workstreams including functional design activities, cutover planning, performance or UAT testing, and post go live support.
  • Closely works with team members on steady state support activities drives identification and resolution of issues leveraging functional expertise and product knowledge.
  • Researches and triages new, uncommon and/or complex problems spanning multiple areas or systems/applications.
  • Utilizes knowledge of application architecture, industry trends or best practices, to recommend process or existing technology enhancements and/or new technology for the MP&ampA space.

SOLUTION DESIGN/DEVELOPMENT/DELVIERY:

  • Creates functional design, configuration, and final scope statement deliverables for enhancements or projects. Leads review sessions with user groups and cross functional technical teams. Aligns functional design with technical requirements.
  • Creates and/or refines design for applications (enhancements or new requests) to ensure functionality and capabilities meet the Business needs.
  • Leads or participates in project meetings to meet project deliverables, supports creation of meeting agendas and clear meeting objectives, and ensures meetings are facilitated effectively and efficiently.
  • Identifies and engages appropriate cross functional Business and Technology partners to support design, development, and release of new or enhanced technology.
  • Delivers project communication (in partnership with project manager), including regular status updates on all aspects of the project.
  • Provides feedback and input on feasibility of technology solutions and identifies opportunities for improvements to Business needs are met.
  • Prepares test scenarios for TUT/FIT/UAT phases of project and enhancement work collaborates with the Testing Center of Excellence in mapping test scenarios to functional requirements and design.
  • Understands and identifies data needs, system data flow requirements, and recognizes risk or impacts to business process or to adjoining systems or applications.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT:

  • Drives consistency and high quality of customer service recommends updates or changes to operational processes and steady state support to be more efficient and effective.
  • Ensures overall quality and consistency of documentation in support and procedural libraries are maintained and accurate.
  • Ensures delivery of pertinent status communication on issues, requests, problems, or other items to all parties as appropriate. Communicates and coordinates communication of status for escalations.
  • Proactively anticipates potential issues or problem areas and monitors for stability and risk avoidance.
  • Owns incident management and overall SLA compliance for area of work. Recommend corrective actions, share successes with the team to continue improving overall efficiency of the team.
  • Maintains application configuration for supported applications or business processes and executes identified changes.
  • Supports and escalated issues, including triage of complex functional issues across a range of applications and systems seeks leadership feedback and support as necessary in the issue resolution and communication process.
  • Identify impacts of planned application or system outages. Provides coverage for the event/s including coordination and communication with user groups, supporting technical teams and leadership.

Minimum Salary: $82,500.00
Maximum Salary: $112,665.00

Qualifications

SKILLSET AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills listening and understanding aptitude strong diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills to build strong relationship and influence others.
  • Prior Retail experience, specifically in Merchandising and/or Merchandise Planning and Allocation, is beneficial.
  • Experience with agile methodology is beneficial, and ability to manage project deliverables and exercise flexibility when priorities change.
  • Ability to articulate detailed action plans and ability to work within designated timelines.
  • Ability to confidently lead and present in discovery sessions and other forums.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel Visio experience beneficial.
  • 5-7 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure technology.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in information technology.
