Adjunct, Secondary Education History Practicum – Salve Regina University

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The education department at Salve Regina University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated instructor to teach the Secondary Education History Practicum for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment I and II courses in a small liberal arts University, this fall 2021 and spring 2022. This position may also be available in future. The instructor is expected to teach one course per week and observe junior year practicum students in their field placements. The university is located in scenic Newport, Rhode Island.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of a masters degree in Secondary Social Studies education or a related field, as well as secondary teaching experience and other appropriate credentials, if applicable.
- Experience teaching secondary social studies
- An ability to teach during the day or evening at the scheduled class times
- Experience using technology and interactive electronic materials to support teaching and learning
- Experience using a Learning Management System such as Canvas
